Ride On Toys Are Very Popular

Parenting is one of the most complicated and time consuming tasks that any of us will ever attempt; however very few of us are trained in how to do this. It seems like each generation is raised under the principals of whatever popular child rearing book is available at the time. Along with the concepts in these books we also include aspects of our child rearing. Many people talk about repeating things to their children that were said to them by their parents. Growing up is the main education we get for parenting.

My daughter and son were both pleasant children to raise. There were definitely some challenging moments with both of them; however all in all it was a good experience and they are well adjusted successful adults that are in the beginning stages of their child rearing years. My daughter has always craved knowledge. She reads everything that she can find about different things before she begins a project. When she found out she was pregnant she spent more time reading and researching than she did on getting a nursery ready. She wants to insure that she raises a healthy happy child. She is always talking about different things that she has discovered through her readings. She had just read a great deal about ride on toys. Several years ago there was a study that came out that claimed that ride on toys can create hip problems as well as cause a child to be bow legged. When she first started talking about ride on toys I thought sure she was going to start quoting this information. However she began talking about a more recent study that disputed the first one. I was glad to hear this because I think ride on toys can be a great thing for children. It helps them learn about being independent from their parents and it also gives them the urge to discover more of their surroundings. Obviously if they sit on a ride on toy all the time they may have some developmental issues, but my experience with children is that they only do one activity for a short period of time before moving on to the next. To think that a child is going to stay on a hot wheels or other toy that is ridden long enough to affect their bone and muscle structure is ridiculous. My daughter wanted to check in the garage to see if some of the toys that she and her brother used to ride on were still there. Unfortunately I had sold these on a garage sale when they out grew them. I have decided that I am going to try to find a few different toys like this to have at our house for when the grandchildren come to visit.
