Your Child Should Have A Special Toddler Toy

Friday, August 15th, 2008

This article about the Toddler Toy seeks to give you a solid knowledge base regarding the subject matter at hand, no matter what your previous experience on the topic are.

Well meaning relatives have decided that my daughter needs a lot of toys. This has been going on for some time, but Ive managed to stem the tide a bit as of late. However, this was at its worst when she was a toddler, and I never knew how to ask people to just stop buying her toys. Clothing, books, and other things would have been more appreciated, but they wanted to buy her toys. Because of this problem, she never ended up with one particular toddler toy that she could not do without. I always think that had she been limited in her toys that she would have used them more.

A very good friend suggested that she had so much that she was overwhelmed with choice. I can understand this. She had a few of her toddler toy gifts that she loved, but that was only when I pointed them out to her. Otherwise, she would stare at the collection of stuff and play with a cardboard box instead. I began to pack some of them away, and low and behold, she began to have more interest. However, I didn’t do enough, and each toddler toy was left untouched. I thought it was a huge waste of money and no one seemed to understand what I was saying.

The second half of this article will help you to extend upon what you have learned in the first half.

Parents should learn from the mistakes of my family, and hopefully that will save them some money. The quality of the toddler toy you choose is much more important than the quantity. Don’t be afraid to label a book as a toddler toy either, as they see them in much the same way. Hearing stories is good for them, and they see it as a play activity. If they continue to view books in that manner, they will be readers for life.

When choosing a good toddler toy, think about color, movement, and music. These are all things that go into a good toy. Children love all of those things, and they all have a good purpose in teaching them about the world. Also, don’t forget about the traditional toys that have been hits for ages. Dolls, trucks, building blocks, and action figures all help them identify with their world. Having more is not better, in this case, and limiting the toys by quality rather than quantity will ensure they get the most out of playtime. If they have too much, give it away. There are plenty of children who have nothing.

This article about the Toddler Toy is meant to both inform and entertain those who read it. Hopefully, we have accomplished both goals.

My Daughter Loves To Play With Plastic Animals

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

Here are a few basics of what Plastic Animals has to offer up to any individual who wants to know more about it.

My daughter is spoiled, but shes not spoiled by me. I do tend to get her quite a few gifts for Christmas, but I do not spoiled her any other time of the year. This cannot be said for the rest of my family. The poor child has no idea what the word no means when it comes to her grandparents and some of her aunts. Imagine my surprise when I bought her a bag of plastic animals and these became her favorite toys over anything else in her room.

Last year when we went away on a road trip with a friend her plastic animals were some of the few toys she wanted to take with her. I asked her to put together a bag of small toys to keep in the car so that she might be occupied on the long ride. She played with her plastic animals quite a bit while in the car, and I could not believe how well she kept herself occupied while she was playing with them. These toys even proved to offer quite a bit of amusement for myself and my friend as we went down the road.

In the beginning of this article, we went over the basics. Now, we will look at this topic a little more in depth.

My daughter had lined up some of her plastic animals along the side window. Every time we went around the corner the animals would fall. At this particular time, my friend was driving, and I was in the passenger seat. Though my friend could not hear my daughter, I heard her loud and clear. She was getting upset with my friend for driving around corners, because all of her plastic animals would fall from the door onto the floor. After a while I got tired of turning around to pick them up, and I asked my friend to please drive straight.

After the laughter died down, my daughter began telling my friend that she wished she would also drive straight, just as I had just said. I tried to explain to her that I was joking, and that she would just have to put up with the plastic animals falling over. If we were to drive straight, we would have driven straight into the ocean. Because my daughter was only four, she thought this was a splendid idea. She finally figured out that perhaps the window was not the best place to be playing with her plastic animals, and the rest of the drive went by uneventfully. It still amazes me today that these cheap plastic animals are treasured items, when the fifty dollar dollhouse sits untouched.
